Hi everyone!
I showed you the wonderful surprise box of teacups I got from my friend Heidi. Well, today I am featuring the sweet violet teacup. Y’all know that purple is my favorite color so, this teacup brings a smile to my face!
Here is our tea for today.
I love this creamy white teapot. Troy got it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago. It gets used a lot by me for my nightly tea.
I bought this little bell jar with irises in Toronto years ago when my mom and I took a train to Toronto and had a long weekend to see Phantom of the Opera. Of course, we also shopped and ate……a lot! It was a wonderful trip and we have some great memories!

I am using my miniature violet teacup. I have the saucer and matching teapot. The creamer is not from the set. I found it at a yard sale this past summer. But, they match wonderfully.
How about a little pie with your tea today?
I am using a pretty purple pansy hankie over my tray.
And now, for my beautiful teacup (thanks again Heidi!).
Isn’t it just lovely! I really love this teacup.
I used one of my Johnson Bros. ironstone saucers with a pretty purple felt coaster.
I was excited to get some seeds we ordered . I ordered several edible flower seed packs and a couple flowers to plant a small moonlight garden. Oh, I can’t wait until Spring!!

The color purple makes my heart quicken. I love these cups! I wish I could grow violets, they are so testy. I bought some purple daylilies, that should suffice!

Hello Diann,
ReplyDeleteyou own a nice collection of different china and made a beautiful vignette with it. Heidi's tea cup is very charming and you combined lovely things with it, too. And the pie! Looks like Key Lime Pie? Would love to eat one of that. As a gardener I understand your exitement about new seeds. We have several edible flowers in the garden but I always refused. I cannot bite on it. I am curious what you feel when you see it on your plate. LOL
Wish you a successful agrden year.
Greetings, Johanna

ReplyDeleteHi Diann,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm so late visiting but I've been ill with the flu all week.
Your teacup is just lovely and the violets are so sweet! This post is so very Spring-like. Your pie looks good too! I love your teapot most of all! What a charming vessel to hold your tea in! I'm wondering if it is a Skye McGhie. It looks like it could be. Your hubby sure knows how to pick them! Thanks for coming by and having tea with me. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Blessings,
Sandi
