Sunday Fav ~ 2 Recipes and The $70.00 GC Winner!

Happy Sunday to you all!

Today is the day we revisit a past post. I was looking for this recipe in my past blog posts because I wanted to make sure I had all the ingredients to take with me camping. I plan on making a dutch oven pot of this soup over the fire one evening to share with everyone while we are sitting around the campfire. I will be making the biscuits as well. So, I thought I would use this as my Sunday Favorite!

I am also joining a "new to me" Sunday party over at Remodelaholic called Recipe Swap Sundays!

Before I post, I want to announce the winner of my $70.00 CSN Store gift card giveaway. I want to thank all of you who entered! The winner is....

Wow, it is really hard to take a good close up picture of your computer screen!

Once again, a great big thanks to the awesome folks at the CSN Stores!

Okay, on to my post. I think I posted this sometime in early January of this year.

Buffalo Wing Soup

I posted this recipe last month but, I have changed up the recipe a bit and like it a lot more with the below recipe!

Makes about 2 quarts

6 cups of milk
3 cans of condensed cream of chicken soup
3 cups of shredded chicken
1 cup of sour cream
1/2 cup of hot sauce
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp of cayenne
Shredded cheddar to sprinkle on top of servings.
Blue Cheese dressing (optional)

You can make this in the crockpot (on low for 4-5 hours) or just whip it up on the stove. Just combine all above ingredients except cheese and blue cheese dressing.

Serve with drizzled blue cheese dressing and shredded cheese.

I make my bowl hotter by adding more hot sauce. I have used a large can of cooked chicken for this recipe instead of cooking a chicken. It's a great quick soup!

Red Lobster-like Cheddar Bay Biscuits

This is the easiest recipe!

SERVES 12

Ingredients

2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning (optional)

Directions
1 Heat oven to 450.
2 Combine Bisquick, milk, and cheddar cheese.
3 Stir together.
4 Spoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
5 Bake for 8-10 minutes.
6 In a small sauce pan combine butter, garlic powder and old bay seasoning.
7 Heat until butter is melted.
8 Spoon butter mixture over hot biscuits.

I Did it Again! New Curbside Freebies!

**Today (Friday) is the last chance to sign up for the $70.00 CSN Stores Gift Card!! Sign up HERE!

Okay, so I just finished putting away all my recent thrift finds. And it wasn't easy! Space is becoming very limited these days! When I come back from vacation, I will be doing some more serious culling!

So, being very proud of myself for getting my things put away and telling myself that I won't be acquiring much new things in the next couple of weeks because I will be gone camping (yeah, I know, not even I am believing that, but, I was pretending for the moment it could happen), what happens? Innocently minding my own business. Driving over to my my moms and suddenly my truck is pulling off the side of the road!

Do F150's get posessed? Was there a recall I haven't heard about?

Next thing I know we are idling in front of a big pile of trash beside the road. Oh, wait, what is that? A little round walnut table and a chair? Huh, better go check it out.

Okay, it's roughed up a bit. And it has a nasty veneer top to it but, that will just make me feel less guilty when I paint it!

I think with a little redoing magic, this set might be a nice addition to our Farm Market setup. Turn it into a cute little table to display some of our new products. What the heck, into the truck it goes!

Nosing around a little more, I found this fun fairy/pixie statue that was part of something else I assume. some one decided to use it as an ashtray. Yuck!

It has a couple of little knicked off pieces and I did find the little girls wings next to the pile of trash.

It is going to be perfect for a project I am going to do with another curbside freebie. It is a really nice large piece.

Okay, thank goodness the truck bed was empty and the rain storm is over. Of course, now it has "new" treasures in it. The F150 seems satisfied and ready to leave. So, off we go to mom's. SCREECH!! The F150 is off the road again! What the ....?

Oh, another trash pile. Okay, at this point it is best just to go with it and get out of the truck to investigate. Hum, the end table is kind of nice but, really trashed. Nope, don't need a baby swing. One lonely ski gets ignored. Oh, what is that back there behind the broken base cabinet?

How cute is this folding wood chair! Oh, that SO went into the back of the truck lickity split!

The white and light aqua blue colors are so perfectly shabby just the way it is.

So, those were my recent curbside freebies.

I am joining:

Last weekend, while camping, I got a little alone time. Yippee! It so rarely happens any more so, I savor every moment of it!

Troy took the princess to the petting zoo so, I knew I had at least 2 hours to myself!

If it weren’t for the fact that it was still pretty early in the day, I would have just went straight to our bed and napped for a couple for hours. Instead I decided to go with the whole junk food and reading theme!

I made myself some lunch and grabbed a fun trash book and a design book, not knowing which mood I was going to be in, and just relaxed and enjoyed my freedom for a couple of hours. Ahhhh bliss!

Glasses, Glasses, Glasses!

**Today (Friday) is the last chance to sign up for the $70.00 CSN Stores Gift Card!! Sign up HERE!

Okay, it is official! As of right now, I have way too much glassware!! Why now you ask? Well, before we left for the trailer, I had thrifted a little and found several, okay more than several sets of glasses for ridiculously low prices!

And then, while camping I went to a flea market, I just could not help myself, there was a box of glasses. Now, for the most part, they were mystery glasses because they were all wrapped up in those throwaway patient gowns you get in the ER. Why those. I don’t know. But, I could only see the top few glasses. It was 94 degrees and I had no desire to sit on the gravel and go through the entire box. I asked the guy if the box was completely filled with glassware. He said yes. I asked how much, and he said $5.00 for the box. I said No. After haggling and walking away, he called me back and I got the mystery box of glasses for $1.00. Just for the fun of going through a mystery box of goodies was well worth a buck to me!

Some of these sets I will keep. some will stay at the trailer and some will get sold.

Okay, first the sets I got while I was still at home.

7-10 inventory 046

Just a nice basic set of 8 wine glasses. this is nice because I do not have a matching set of 8 of anything! LOL.

7-10 inventory 048

A set of 3 glasses with a black swirl around them. Cheap because there was only 3.

7-10 inventory 050

Set of 2 purple glass stemware.

7-10 inventory 052

A set of 4 blue smoky glass stemware.

7-10 inventory 054

Nice simple glass coffee glasses.

7-10 inventory 056

A set of 4 gold rimmed etched glasses.

Okay, those were the ones I bought before I went to the trailer. here is the mystery box glasses.

7-10 inventory 075

Yippee! LOL

7-10 inventory 076

First up, a pair of these milk glass coffee mugs. I was so excited to see these because I have 3 identical ones at home.

7-10 inventory 077

A set of 3 pretty aperitif glasses.

7-10 inventory 080

Set of 3 pretty etched wine glasses.

7-10 inventory 082

A set of 2 very filthy but, pretty etched glasses.

7-10 inventory 084

Another find I was happy to see was this set of 6 frosted tall glasses. I have a set of the small and medium glasses that match these.

7-10 inventory 085

Set of 5 small etched stemware.

7-10 inventory 087

Set of 3 plain glass soda glasses.

7-10 inventory 117

I don’t know why I left these out of the overall picture but, here they are. A set of 4 frosted soda glasses.

Can you see why I couldn’t resist this box for a buck!?

So, when I get back from our vacation, I will be doing some serious culling out of my glassware shelves. Oh, it will be such a sad day! :(

Now had over to visit these parties I am joining:
