Rednesday

Hi everyone! It's Rednesday again with our hostess Sue at It's a Very Cherry World!

I don't have a very big or dramatic red today. I just spotted this glass Americana globe and thought that the pretty amber and red colors would look pretty with a candle in it and worked into Fall decor. I was right. LOL It is very pretty when a candle is lit inside it. I picked it up at a thrift store for .50 cents. Oh, and as you can see from the pictures, I hadn't washed it yet. LOL. Heavy dust!

Thrifty "look-alike" Finds

I feel like I am picking on Pottery Barn these days ( I did a different "look alike Last Tuesday HERE). I really am not! Honest! I love Pottery Barn an even if I rarely can buy from there, I still want the cool things I see. So, I have to search out the thrifty alternatives. I try to come as close to the fabulous items I see at Pottery Barn. Sometimes I can do pretty good, other times I just sit and hope that Pottery Barn has an awesome clearance soon! LOL

I saw these cool laterns at the Pottery Barn Website. I just loved them! But, unfortunately, it wasn't going to happen for me. But, check thm out.....

Aren't they just beautiful!
Malta Lantern
$29.00 - $99.00

And then I saw these beautiful ones as well....

Love them!
Chloe Lantern
$39.00 - $59.00

Okay, so neither of these were going to make it into my home. And I would want at least 2 of them. Just wasn't happening. So, I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a knock off that would work. I finally found them! Yup, Family dollar clearance area! Here are my knock-offs....

Can you see that price? Originally $5.00 each. Clearanced for $3.00 each! Yipee!

They are not exactly the same of course. I still love the Pottery Barn ones. I can live with these and more importantly, so can my budget!

The 3 in 3 Weeks Challenge

Well, this is the finale of Get 3 Projects done in 3 weeks challenge. I want to thank Tam at The Gyspsy's Corner and Barbara Jean at Treasures From the Heart. These two wonderful women invited us all to join them in sharing projects that we have gotten done over the past few weeks. They are two very gracious ladies! I hope you will stop by both blogs and check out what they have been up to and check in on the other blogs that linked in!

Most of my projects have been Autumn Decorating. So, let me show you what I have done so far.....
I got a shelf in my livingroom decorated. More pics HERE

Re-vamped last year's wreath and hung it up

Bought this for .50 cents

Sprayed with black spray paint

Displayed it like this

Glittered some pumpkins

Displayed them like this

And displayed like this

Decorated the Baker shelf in the dining room and bundled fresh herbs to hang under it

Decorated a shelf above the window in the living room

Decorated an end table

Decorated the other end table

And next week I get to start on the outside!
